What You'll Be Doing

  • Undertake specialist assessments, including the Comprehensive Assessment of At Risk Mental States (CAARMS).
  • Deliver evidence-based, formulation-driven psychological interventions under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Provide low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions and family interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers and families to develop personalised care plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and contribute psychological perspectives to clinical decision-making.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP), CAMHS, Talking Therapies, Primary Care, Community Mental Health Teams and voluntary sector partners.
  • Support outcome measurement, service evaluation, audit and quality improvement initiatives.

Our neurological services offer rehabilitation and treatment for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Head Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Stroke. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.

Qualifications

Essential

  • First degree in Psychology. Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the BPS. Demonstrate study at masters level 120 credits

Experience

Essential

  • Understand British Psychological Society (BPS) Professional Code of Conduct, local and national policies and procedures that define scope of practice
  • Understand the range of behavioural change models including health belief models to synthesise best practice in the absence of a strong evidence base, or existence of clinical practice guidelines
