Job introductionYou can also see our full list of employee benefits on our careers site here: Why you should work for us | West Northamptonshire CouncilAbout the roleSouthfields Care home,rated GOOD by CQC, provides exceptional levels of support to people living with dementia, hysical disabilities or /and ensory impairments.Situated in a residential suburb in Northampton, Southfields offer a wonderful living environment in which residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.We have teams of friendly and committed staff who provide the highest level of dementia care and residential care. With our great accommodation, facilities and programme of activities, our care home evoke a home from home atmosphere in which our residents can feel comfortable, content and very well cared for.Additional informationAs we offer full, hands-on training where you can work towards relevant certifications, you don't have to have any particular experience. BUT you do need to have the passion and will to provide exceptional level care and make individuals feel seen and cared for.At minimum we offer 2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2-4 weeks "Buddy scheme" too. We will settle you in gradually, so you feel supported every step of the way.Previous experience in health or social care is desirable, but not essential.You will be required to complete an NVQ Level 2 in Care within two years of appointment, with full support provided.Unfortunately, this role does not meet the legal requirements for visa sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route.This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate, at our cost.
