This role is ideally suited to an organised, proactive and motivated individual who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment. It offers the opportunity to work as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and gain valuable experience within specialist cardiovascular services.

The post holder will have regular direct contact with patients and healthcare professionals, supporting the coordination and delivery of heart failure and cardiac rehabilitation services across Coventry and Rugby. Key responsibilities include scheduling and managing patient appointments using the Trust's Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, maintaining and updating clinical databases, making telephone calls to patients to confirm appointments, and providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the service.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to develop strong communication, organisational and administrative skills whilst contributing to the delivery of high-quality care. By helping to ensure patients receive timely access to rehabilitation services and a positive patient experience, the post holder will play an important role in supporting improved health outcomes for people living with cardiovascular disease

Qualifications

Essential

  • Basic numeracy and literacy qualifications
  • NVQ 2 in business administration or equivalent or willing to work towards

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working in a busy administration environment

Knowledge

Essential

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to accurately collect, input, and maintain data using electronic systems
  • Understanding of the importance of confidentiality and information governance
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
