This is a full-time role, and the working patterns are set and are as follows:o Mondays and Fridays - Clinical Administrator Officer Dutieso Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday - Fail Safe Officer Duties

Here at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, we provide a full range of district general services, including 24-hour urgent and emergency care, specialist children's services, maternity and community midwifery to the population of North Derbyshire - around 400,000 local people.We also offer primary care services through nine GP surgeries in Chesterfield and Derbyshire. We work closely with partners across health and care as part of the Joined-Up Care Derbyshire system. Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to GSCE standard (or equivalent), to include English grade C or above
  • RSA III (or equivalent) Typing/Word Processing
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office based computer packages, including email and internet

Desirable: - ECDL; - Shorthand skills; - Any office based training such as NVQ; - Medical terminology; - Audio typing RSA Stage II (or equivalent)

Experience

Essential: - Experience of working as part of a multi- disciplinary team; - Previous office/secretarial experience

Desirable: - Previous NHS experience; - Previous knowledge of hospital PAS systems

Skills

Essential

  • Good communication skills
  • Good prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Familiar with work based computer systems
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritising work to meet deadlines
  • Good telephone manner

Desirable: - Previous waiting list experience; - Medical terminology; - Preparing agendas and minute taking
