o The post holder will be expected to provide appropriate care to patients within the Rotherham area mainly through working closely with the multidisciplinary team through the assessment and treatment of appropriate patients.
o Provide consultation on individual cases where psychiatric opinion is needed to members of the Rotherham multidisciplinary CAMHS team.
o Attend a weekly CAMHS MDT Clinical Meeting, in which the above patients are discussed.
o Attend multiagency meetings and Team around the Child etc as required.
o Provide medical support to the Nurse-led ADHD team. This will include prescribing and monitoring ADHD medication, alongside the ADHD nurses.
o Patient contact will take place mainly in outpatient clinics but may also occur in other community settings including A&E or paediatric wards at Rotherham hospital. Appointments may also occur remotely via MS Teams or sometimes by telephone.
o Provide on-going monitoring and pharmacological treatments in ADHD, depression, OCD, etc.
o All practice will be supervised by a senior doctor or a specialist prescriber.

Qualifications
Essential
- Full registration with the GMC
- Must be on the GMC Specialist Register for CAMHS or a trainee within six months of completing their CCT
Desirable
- MRC Psych or equivalent higher qualification.
- Management qualification, other professional qualification, e.g. CBT, Family Therapy
Experience
Essential
- Higher Specialist Training in CAMHS.
- Experience of audit and an understanding of the principles of clinical governance.
Desirable
- Prior ADHD experience.
- Substantial prior experience working as a Consultant in CAMHS.
- Evidence of development of special interest Proven commitment to improving the quality of clinical care.
- Other special interest/expertise relevant to the post.
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of research processes.
- Committed to Continuing Professional Development
Desirable
- Sound knowledge of NHS management structures and systems
Skills
Essential
- Able to communicate effectively with fellow professionals and patients to work within a multi-disciplinary clinical team.
- Motivational skills, leadership skills and flexibility.
- All applicants to have demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues demonstrated by one of the following:
- That applicants have undertaken undergraduate medical training in English
- Have achieved the following scores in the academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) in a single sitting within 24 months at time of application - Overall 7.5, Speaking 7.5, Reading 7.5, and Writing 7.5. If applicants believe they have adequate communication skills but do not fit into one of these examples they must provide supporting evidence.
