In this role, you will work closely with clinicians delivering evidence-based psychological therapies within a CAMHS setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team while supporting triage and screening of referrals and contributing to monthly service reports. You will help run the GP Youth Clinic by registering referrals, maintaining databases to track patient progress, ensuring accurate, up-to-date records, and being present during clinic hours. Responsibilities include managing GP appointments, coordinating referral lists, and preparing cases for triage meetings. You will ensure outcomes from triage and MDT discussions are recorded accurately on clinical systems such as EMIS and EPJS, including whether referrals are accepted or declined.
You will also support onward referrals by liaising with relevant services, completing follow-up actions on EMIS, and ensuring all documentation is properly recorded and stored across systems. The role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy community mental health environment.

- Assist with signposting and preparing relevant clinical applications and referrals to internal or external services.
- Assist with preparing and disseminating mental health resources and participating group intervention if appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
- Assist in the development and implementation of research projects.
- Attend and participate in clinical and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Support engagement with young people and their families by collecting and analysing feedback for service improvement.
- Assist the leadership team, practitioners in the development of the project to identify and engage young people and families.
- Schedule and confirm appointments for patients using Egoton Medical Information System (EMIS) system and Electronic Patient Journey System (ePJS)
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all information is confidential and secure.
- Process patient intake paperwork and ensure it is complete and accurate.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and other forms of correspondence and forward them to the appropriate staff member.
- Be responsible for maintaining an effective referral process.
- Be responsible for promoting positive community relationships and maintaining the hub's reputation.
- Collate referral data, provide and present accurate monthly monitoring reports to stake holders.
- Act as a point of contact for young people's queries and ensure effective resolution.

Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ 3 in Business Administration; or equivalent administrative/secretarial experience
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in
- English Language (A - C grade)
- Mathematics (A - C Grade)
Desirable
- RSA 3 secretarial qualification or equivalent qualification
Knowledge, Skills and Understanding
