- Use and develop specialist skills within the Quality Testing Dept. in order that patient evaluation and product quality testing are carried out appropriately and in a timely manner conducive to good patient management.
- Use and develop specialist skills within the Processing Dept. in the controlled working environment, clean rooms and associated areas, to maintain regulatory compliance and a safe environment for the processing of cell harvests for clinical use.
- Carry out Quality testing to include but not limited to, flow cytometry, FBC and colony assays .
- Perform cryopreservation of cellular therapy products in line with current SOPs.
- Support ATMP therapy as directed.
- Prepare Cell therapy Infusion Files ready for release by the DI
- In carrying out these duties, the post holder will maintain close communication with the,Medical, Nursing and Pharmacy staff attached to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit activities based at Hammersmith Hospital, the Paediatric team based at St Mary's Hospital and any other relevant departments within Imperial College NHS Trust and outside the Trust.
- Maintain close communication with Research staff in Imperial College Faculty of Medicine, Department of Haematology and other collaborators.
- Provide on rotation an out of hours service. This will involve occasional weekend and evening work plus the provision of an off site on-call service

Education/ qualifications
Essential: - BSc in appropriate specialist subjec; - Health and Care Professions Council state registration
Desirable: - Quality Management; - Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) training
Experience
Essential: - Experience within Haematology, Blood Transfusion Science, Immunology or a GMP laboratory.
Desirable: - Experience working in Grade B clean room production environment; - Experience of HPC processing and HPC quality testing (flow cytometry).
Skills/knowledge/ abilities
Essential: - Technical aptitude; - Ability to work in a team; - Problem solving skills
