Assistant Director – Adult Social Care

The successful candidate will drive service improvement, ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, champion person-centred practice, and work with partners to deliver high-quality services that promote independence, safeguard vulnerable adults and achieve positive outcomes.. Key Responsibilities

Lead the operational delivery of adult social care services.Ensure compliance with statutory duties, professional standards and safeguarding responsibilities.Drive quality assurance, service performance, continuous improvement and effective use of resources.Manage budgets and resources effectively.Provide visible leadership across adult social care teams and contribute to wider organisational leadership.Work in partnership with health, community and voluntary sector organisations to improve integrated support for residents.Support transformation, redesign and modernisation of services in response to demand, policy changes and financial pressures.Advise senior leaders, elected members and partnership boards on adult social care issues, risks and opportunities.Promote strengths-based practice, independence, prevention and high-quality outcomes for adults and carers. Candidate Requirements

Significant senior leadership experience within Adult Social Care.Strong understanding of statutory responsibilities, service transformation, partnership working and performance improvement.Ability to build credibility with practitioners, stakeholders and partner organisations.Proven experience leading through organisational change and service improvement.Strong political awareness and stakeholder management skills.Commitment to person-centred practice, safeguarding and improving outcomes for local communities.Relevant professional qualifications and leadership credentials.
