To work with limited supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing a clerical support service to medical and nursing staff at ward level within a busy Paediatric inpatient ward & same day emergency care unit. To display sensitivity and tact in dealing with patients and relatives.
To have a responsible outlook in order to cope with the unpredictable nature of ward activity, using prioritising skills and discretion to organise a daily workload to take account of deadlines and degrees of urgency.

Experience
Essential
- relevant clerical experience
Desirable
- Previous NHS experience.
- Experience of patient information systems o (e.g. iPM)
- Previous Ward Clerk experience
Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE English (or equivalent)
Desirable
- NVQ Customer Care (or equivalent).
- European Computer Driving Licence qualifications (ECDL)
- GCSE Mathematics (or equivalent)
Personal Qualities
Essential
- Good team working skills.
- Good interpersonal skills (e.g. customer care skills).
Other
Essential
- Basic computer skills (keyboard skills).
