You will have previous experience in assessing and delivering a tailored package of Rehabilitation around daily living skills and mobility to people with a sensory loss. You will be up to date with relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and you will have current working knowledge of the safe use of a wide range of specialist equipment, eye conditions and treatments as well as knowledge of the practical application of teaching and learning theories.
You will be able to work with complex and challenging individuals whilst maintaining a person centred approach and you will be a strong communicator, able to communicate with service users and partners in a wide variety of formats. You will also be able to deliver awareness training to social/health care colleagues as required.
You will be able to undertake assessments and set goals and outcomes and will be confident managing your own case load and being accountable for case work.
You will have a Degree Certificate/Diploma (Level 5 or equivalent) in Visual Impairment Rehabilitation and be willing to be registered with the Rehabilitation Workers Professional Network.
