The successful applicants will be expected to

  • Deliver quality Orthogeriatric and medical services in the most effective way regularly benchmarking service to improve practice, under the supervision of a Consultant Orthogeriatrician
  • Continue to enhance and develop the Orthogeriatric service
  • Work to strengthen links with GP's and neighbouring Trusts
  • Meet NHFD target for delivering best practice care in Fractured Neck of Femur patients
  • Initiate and take part in regular clinical audit
  • Have an active role in research
  • Support the organisational aim of Croydon University NHS Trust.

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon. The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust.   • Qualifying degree
  • ALS
  • MRCP
  • GMC Registered

  • Higher Degree

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in General, Geriatric Internal Medicine
  • Experience of MDT Working

Desirable

  • Experience of working in rehabilitation
  • Special Interest in Ortho-geriatric or older persons medicine

Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
  • Experience in research methods and proven ability
  • Committed to CME

Desirable

  • Evidence of research and audit with appropriate publications
  • Training of undergraduate and post-graduates
