Trust Grade Doctor

Successful candidates will participate in a Tier 2 rota at SJUH and be involved in covering all aspects of inpatient care including long day ward cover and night shifts. This will involve delivering care to babies in the neonatal unit into high dependency and special care areas. In addition there will opportunities to take part in departmental audit and governance projects, with some additional shifts being offered in intensive care at LGI. These will be on an ad-hoc basis and organised following discussion with the successful candidate. In addition they will be expected to lead service development projects with oversight from the clinical lead.

To assist in delivering the induction and training programme for junior doctors.

To liaise with the neonatal outreach team and child development centre to provide planned discharge and follow up of neonatal graduates.

Depending on any subspecialty area of interest, it may be possible to extend the remit of the post
