The Greenwich Training Hub has been established to support the longterm development, sustainability and integration of the primary and community care workforce in Greenwich. Building on national Primary Care Training Hub models, it has evolved in response to the rapid expansion of multidisciplinary roles, increasing service demand and the introduction of the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS).
A core focus of the Training Hubs work has been the establishment of a multidisciplinary leadership and support structure, including Training Hub Nurse Leads, GP Leads and Practice Support Leads. This model has enabled clinical and operational expertise to be combined, supporting both professional practice and daytoday workforce challenges. As the ARRS workforce has expanded and matured, the Training Hubs role has increasingly focused on career development, quality improvement, role optimisation and longerterm workforce sustainability, creating the context for enhanced professional leadership roles, including pharmacy.
