As a Band 5 radiographer, you will need to ensure accurate delivery of radiotherapy treatments with appropriate patient care. You will also be required to work in a team with Band 6 and Band 7 radiographers.
- To ensure that the treatment equipment is safe and accurate to operate, both for staff and patients, undertaking the appropriate machine checks and reporting any variances promptly.
- Undertake and evaluate radiation dose delivery calculations involving a range of radiation types and energies.
- Interpret, monitor and evaluate the treatment prescription to ensure that radiotherapy is delivered accurately and reproducibly.
- Evaluate delivery of radiotherapy treatment through application and interpretation of treatment verification procedures

Qualifications

- DCR(T), Bsc(hons), MSc Therapeutic Radiographer
- HCPC Registration
- Current Statutory and Mandatory Training
