Job Title: Telephonist
Dept: Switchboard
Base: Maidstone Hospital
Grade: Band 2
Hours: Vacancy 1 18.75 hrs per week (mon - sat)
Vacancy 2 22.5hrs per week (mon - sat)
Vacancy 3 7.5hrs per week (Nights thur-fri)
These roles will include working within an established rota, and you will be expected to cover annual leave and sick leave when required and Bank Holidays where scheduled.

Qualifications
Essential
- Educated to a high standard in GCSE or equivalent
Desirable
- NVQ level 2 in customer service or equivalent
Experience/Knowledge

- Work independently without supervision
- Working as part of a close team

- Previous switchboard experience in a hospital environment
Skills
Essential
- Customer Care focused
- IT Skills, eg; Basic computer knowledge
- Good organisational skills

- Previous experience of dealing with emergency calls
