  • To be operationally responsible for the Mental Health Support Teams and ensure that is fulfils the core offer.
  • To ensure that all workforce responsibilities are carried out, such as managing performance, annual leave, sickness, expenses, annual appraisals, operational supervision, training requirements.
  • To work alongside the Teams in building and strengthening relationships with schools working with the Mental Health Support Teams.
  • To develop and maintain good referral links withCAMHS STWPathways.
  • To develop and maintain good working relationships withCAMHS STWPartners and external agencies within health, social care and third sector organisations.
  • To be responsible for the Teams in meeting national and local performance targets.
  • To ensure the quality and accuracy of data and reports that are submitted to the Contracts Commissioner for reporting up to NHS England.
  • To demonstrate outstanding leadership and management skills to ensure the on-gong development of staff and the service.
  • To contribute to the development of ideas and innovative practice and propose changes to protocols and procedures within the Mental Health Support Teams and CAMHSSTWwhere required.
  • To initiate and participate in departmental audit as requested by the Service Manager or Quality Improvement Lead.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree level education.

Desirable

  • Core professions: Nurse NMC professional body, AHP professional bodies and EMHP and CWP with professional bodies BABCP or BSP

Knowledge

Essential

  • Knowledge of Children's Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health

Desirable

  • Knowledge of educational systems and structures

Experience

Essential

  • Of working with CYP with emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties
  • Of working within an MDT

Desirable

  • Of working within school environments

Skills

Essential

  • Demonstratable leadership and management skills, i.e budget, supervision, HR processes, recruitment, training
