About Cygnet Nield HouseCygnet Nield House is a specialist mental health hospital for women in Crewe, Cheshire. The service supports women aged 18 and over and is split into two distinct wards, each offering specialist mental health care.

Clarion Ward

Clarion Ward is a 14-bed complex personality disorder service for women with a dual diagnosis of personality disorder, with or without co-morbid disorderedeating.

Compton Ward

Compton Ward is a 15-bed acute service for women. The ward provides a safe andstabilisingenvironment for women experiencing an acute episode of mental illness who require an emergency admission.

At Nield House,youllbe part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team helping women feel safe,respectedand empowered as they work towards recovery,independenceand improved wellbeing.

Your Day-to-DayAs a Support Worker at Cygnet Nield House,youllprovide practical,emoti onaland therapeutic support to women with mental health needs.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Providing guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
  • Building positive,professionaland trusting relationships with service users
  • Learning abouteach individualsspecific needs and supporting them in the mostappropriate way
  • Assistingwith medical and welfare needs
  • Reporting medical and welfare concerns asrequired
  • Supporting safeguarding practices andmaintainingprofessional boundaries
  • Helping tomaintaina safe,cleanand therapeutic environment
  • Encouraging independence,confidenceand positive daily routines
  • Working closely with nurses,cliniciansand wider colleagues to deliver outstanding care
