Youll design, develop and deliver engaging accredited and bespoke training programmes, while supporting learners to achieve their potential. Youll have the opportunity to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and sectors, making every day varied and rewarding.

To support the development and delivery of high-quality training, advice and guidance to Internal and external organisations.

To support the reduction of the impact of substance misuse in the setting within which the training is delivered.

For over 40 years, the Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) has been transforming the lives of people affected by drug and alcohol misuse. As a registered charity, our work makes a lasting difference to individuals, families and communities.

Generis, the specialist training and development department within ADS, delivers a wide range of accredited and bespoke training programmes to learners from diverse backgrounds and sectors. As our team continues to grow, were looking for an experienced Trainer/Assessor who shares our passion for high-quality learning and development.

Experience

Essential

  • Has experience in teaching, training and assessment.
  • Is passionate about creating and delivering engaging, high-quality learning.
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Can build positive relationships with and support a diverse range of learners.
  • Is enthusiastic, creative and committed to continuous improvement.

Desirable

  • Experience in dealing with challenging learners.
  • Understanding of issues facing substance misusers.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Holds a Level 3 Education & Training qualification (formerly PTLLS), or an equivalent qualification.

Desirable

  • Level 3 Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement or equivalent.
