Ward 8 Stroke Transitional Unit at Broadgreen University Hospital are looking to recruit a Qualified Nurse To Join our team. The Stroke Transitional Unit is a 25 bedded ward. The Ward accounts for a wide range of services providing post stroke Support and assessment, rehabilitation and all aspects of inpatient care to patients.
We are a multidisciplinary department. The team consist of Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Assistants and Therapists.
We are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working individuals who want to be part of a fantastic and inclusive team.
The post older will be involved in assessment, planning ,delivery and evaluation of nursing care.
Provide information to patients /carers
Referrals to other disciplines
Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team with the ongoing management in patient rehabilitation post stroke

Experience
Essential
- Post registration experience and successful completion of band 5 foundation gateway competencies
- Experience within relevant clinical setting
- Evidence of maintaining a clinical learning environment.
- Evidence of working with students
Desirable
- Recent acute hospital experience [including as a student nurse]
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of current nursing issues and clinical governance
- Demonstrates awareness of own limitations
Skills

- Ability to organise workload and delegate tasks appropriately
