To actively participate in therapeutic & activity sessions; be responsible for Day-to-Day running of service.
To participate in assessment, planning & delivery of personalised care, meeting personal hygiene and nutritional needs of clients. Several of our clients are wheelchair users and there is a requirement to use hoists and push wheelchairs.
To ensure the clients personal information is always treated with the strictest of confidence.
Assist in promoting a healthy lifestyle, respecting the service user's choices and beliefs, promoting dignity, respect, and privacy where necessary.
To protect all individuals from any form of abuse, either physical, psychological, financial, sexual or any instance of intimidation. Any suspected abuse to be brought to the attention of the Trust.
To be alert of any changes in clients i.e. in health or behaviour to ensure appropriate interventions are undertaken

Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD Experience)
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge of up-to-date legislation in relation to mental capacity act.
- Awareness of therapeutic activities and the benefits to people with complex needs
Skills
Essential
- Skilled in assessing and planning care for people
- Ability to contribute towards the planning, developing, monitoring and evaluating of all aspects of the service delivery.
Desirable
- Ability to adhere to policies pertaining to Diamond centre
- Ability to form and promote positive relationships internal and external partners
Experience
Desirable
- Post registration experience
- Experience in a variety of care and support settings for people with learning disabilities
- Experience of supporting people with multiple complex needs
- Experience of co-ordinating health interventions for people with learning disabilities
