The post holder will work independently, in conjunction with the wider nursing team to deliverand maintain a high standard of nursing care, within the framework of National and Trustpolicies, referring to senior colleagues as needed.To be responsible for all aspects of patient care including the assessment, planning, delivery,and evaluation of personalised care, ensuring patients feel safe, supported and informed tomake decisions regarding their care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary teamto maintain safe and effective care at all times.

We have just opened the Oak Wards - a new ward block featuring two 24-bed wards.

Qualifications and knowledge

Desirable: - Immediate Life Support (ILS); - Evidence of career development.

Experience

Essential: - Experience of working as part of a team; - Experience working in an acute healthcare environment

Desirable: - Experience mentoring unqualified staff

Skills

Desirable: - Able to direct and supervise unregistered nurses (Healthcare Assistants HCAs).; - Teaching and good presentation skills
