Staff Nurse (Endoscopy Unit)

The Royal Berkshire Endoscopy Unit is committed to delivering high quality patient-focused service, is a well-equipped and modern department which specializes in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients attending as day cases, in-patients and emergencies.

We undertake the Bowel cancer Screening Programme as part of the National Screening Programme.

Following induction you will have the opportunity to undertake a number of specific endoscopy courses in line with your ongoing development programme.

We are a very busy, expanding unit and are looking for some reliable and flexible staff.

The unit is open Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 18:30.

Qualifications

Essential: - Registered Nurse (Adult) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council; - At least 6 months' experience in a acute set up

Desirable: - Endoscopy training and/or JETS competencies; - Communication skills/training course

Experience

Essential: - Teaching and assessing of junior staff/students

Desirable: - Appropriate experience within an acute clinical ward or area.; - Previous Endoscopy experience
