UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

Experience
Essential: - Demonstrable clinical experience; - Experience of caring for patients
Desirable: - Experience in providing end of life care
Knowledge
Essential
- Ability to demonstrate fundamental nursing knowledge and practice in the care of the older person
- Demonstrate understanding of own role and professional expectations and accountability in practice in line with NMC Code
Desirable: - Awareness of role in relation to patient experience, quality and safety agenda's that support Governance Frameworks
Qualification
Essential: - NMC registered Nurse; - Advanced Diploma/ Degree in adult health nursing studies
Desirable: - Teaching qualification; - Post Reg course related to care of the Elderly
Technical Skills competencies
Essential
- IT skills
- Literacy and Numeracy
- Demonstrable ability in management of vital signs monitoring and escalation of the deteriorating patien
- Non-IV medication administration
Desirable
- Venepuncture and cannulation
- ECG recording
- Male Catheterisation
- Awareness of audit in practice
- IV medication administration including blood products
