Job description

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of children's community services to the county of Hampshire. HIOW CAM...

  • To provide mental health assessment, treatment and case management both directly and through colleague consultation to referred children and young people aged 0 - 18 years and to their families, according to criteria agreed with local commissioners.
  • To record and communicate such activity as appropriate according to best practice and Trust requirements.
  • To balance demand for both scheduled and unscheduled clinical care in collaboration with colleagues and service managers.
  • To participate in team and peer clinical supervision and co-working arrangements.
  • To join the local Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists' Peer Supervision and Continuing Professional Development Group.
  • To respond flexibly to the reasonable requests of the service for exceptional unplanned activity such as may be required and for gradual change in the Consultant role as part of the evolution of children's services.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Recognised basic Medical Degree
  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice
  • Candidates will need to have at least 4years postgraduate experience with at least 2 in the specialty
