In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
Youll also be responsible for
- Providing high-quality psychiatric and medical care to adult inpatients.
- Working collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrists, MDTs, RMOs, GPs, pharmacists and external agencies.
- Supporting the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with acute mental health disorders.
- Providing comprehensive physical healthcare and support recovery-focused care within the inpatient setting.
You will also participate in the regional hospital on-call rota, providing on-call cover on a rota basis.

Priory Hospital East Midlands, located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU) service for adult females. It is accessible by public transport, with a local train station nearby and a bus stop just outside the hospital providing links to Annesley, Hucknall and Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
Essential
- Essential for the role
- The successful candidate will hold an MBBS or equivalent recognised medical qualification, with full registration and a licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC), and will remain in good standing with the GMC. They will demonstrate experience working in psychiatry and comply with the professional standards expected of medical practitioners working within psychiatric services.

- The following experience would be beneficial
- Section 12 approval and/or MRCPsych is beneficial.
