Specialist Physiotherapist - Learning Disabilities (Developmental)

You will carry out specialist assessment of those with complex needs under the supervision of senior staff, including those with complex postures and physical health needs and will also be supervised to deliver specialist interventions such as postural management, aquatic therapy and rebound therapy as well as assessing and prescribing specialist equipment (eg postural management and specialist mobility aids) and providing training in its use.

Education and Qualifications

Essential: - Degree / Diploma in Physiotherapy; - Current professional registration with HCPC; - Evidence of related CPD

Desirable: - Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities

Essential: - Interest and passion to work with people with learning disabilities

Desirable: - Alternative communication strategies
