  • Lead the operational management and development of Homecare Medicines Services.
  • Provide professional leadership for all pharmacy homecare activities.
  • Manage relationships with homecare providers, clinical teams and external stakeholders.
  • Lead service improvement, digital transformation and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure robust governance, contract compliance and financial oversight.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators across operational, clinical, safety and financial domains.
  • Support the implementation of new homecare services and innovative treatment pathways.
  • Represent University Hospitals Plymouth at regional and national homecare forums.

What we're looking for You will be

  • A registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
  • An Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACT).
  • Experienced in hospital pharmacy practice and homecare medicines management.
  • A confident leader with experience of managing and developing staff.
  • Passionate about service improvement, patient safety and delivering high-quality care.
  • Able to build strong relationships and influence change across multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable specialist knowledge and experience in Homecare.
  • Excellent working knowledge of current legislation, Department of Health guidelines and National Homecare Medicines Committee guidance concerning homecare services.

Desirable

  • Proven knowledge of financial / operational procedures and budget management

Qualifications

Essential

  • City & Guilds BTEC or NVQ level 3 in pharmacy services OR MPharm
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice

Desirable

  • Further clinical, research, leadership or management qualifications

Aptitude & Abilities

Essential

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, with proven ability to demonstrate fluency, clarity and effectiveness at all levels.
  • Can prioritise workload and meet deadlines
