Education / Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in Physiotherapy
- HCPC
Desirable
- Relevant post graduate courses/training/CPD
- Member of relevant special interest group
Knowledge
Essential
- Knowledge/understanding of confidentiality issues
- Knowledge of physiotherapy best practise for a range of Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy conditions
- Awareness of clinical audit and evidence-based practice.
- Knowledge of appropriate red flags for these specialist patient groups
- Knowledge of principles of Risk Management
- Awareness of NHS and Trust systems, policies, procedures and current changes
Desirable
- Knowledge of current professional and NHS issues
- Awareness of impact of socioeconomic factors on health
- Knowledge of appraisal cycle
Experience
Essential
- Broad general clinical experience
- Experience managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions
- Maintaining relevant range of CPD activities
Desirable
- Experience of working within a diverse socioeconomic/multicultural society.
- Experience of working in different health care environments
Skills/ Abilities
Essential
- Able to manage caseload and to prioritise under pressure.
- Able to demonstrate effective written & verbal communication skills
- Able to work within an MDT.
