The Neuro therapy team is based at Warrington Hospital ,assessing and treating stroke patients both in hospital ,in intermediate care and in their own...

You will be working within the stroke team who are very experienced ,enthusiastic and driven to deliver the best stroke care to our patients .You will be well supported within the team to ensure that we achieve the best outcomes for our patients. You will have opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills working alongside the Team. You will be able to gain experience in all areas of the stroke pathway by rotating through the areas.

Experience

Essential

  • clinical experience in stroke rehabilitation

Desirable

  • stroke experience in specialist intermediate care and ESD
  • Band 6 experience in stroke
  • experience in supervising other staff or students

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bsc in Occupational therapy
  • Driving License and use of vehicle for work
  • HCPC registration

Desirable

  • Related courses to Neuro therapy
  • Student educator course
  • Basic leadership course

Skills knowledge and competencies

Essential

  • knowledge of stroke and stroke rehabilitation

Desirable

  • attendance on introduction to normal movement course
