Job description

Would you like to continue your professional development within a supportive and innovative Occupational Therapy Service? If so, join our OT Team at P...

The post holder will provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, rehabilitation and discharge planning for patients across acute services, supporting safe, timely and person-centred discharge from hospital while maximising independence and enabling individuals to remain at home wherever possible.

You will manage an independent caseload and work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy interventions. You will also support the supervision and development of junior staff and Occupational Therapy students.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be committed to delivering high-quality patient care and driving service improvement through evidence-based practice, audit, research and quality improvement activities.

A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to contribute to the development of the Occupational Therapy service within the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU). Supported by an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist, you will develop specialist critical care rehabilitation skills while helping shape this evolving service.

The successful candidate will be flexible, responsive to service needs and able to prioritise a varied caseload to ensure timely intervention, rehabilitation and discharge planning.

You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click Apply now to view in Trac.
