Job description

What will you be doing?We are looking for two experienced qualified SCHVN nurses, to support the needs of some of our most vulnerable young people who may be missing education, have complex needs and have become known to the youth justice system. You will have wide experience of public health nursing working across boundaries and organisations. You will have a keen interest and enthusiasm for improving the health of this population. You will have a proven track record of delivering health projects and programmes. The role will be to help in the early identification of individual health needs, provide support to and engagement with health services.You will have the ability to prioritise competing demands and objectives, coupled with diplomacy and knowledge of the health needs of school aged children.Ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day is essential.This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
