Job IntroductionWe are looking for Social Workers to work in our Hospital Team and Integrated Neighbourhood Team who are enthusiastic and passionate about changing the lives of people with care and support needs, and carers, through the promotion of wellbeing and choice, making a real difference and enabling them to increase their independence and have fulfilling lives, free from harm and abuse.Hospital TeamConveniently based at Churchill House in Solihull town centre, as part of this highly experienced and dedicated team, you will embed a strengths-based model of assessment and support, promoting independence and well-being and achieving better outcomes for people, carers and their families. You will ensure that there is a strong Adult Care and Support focus while working in partnership with health colleagues and care providers such as reablement.Integrated Neighbourhood TeamIn Solihull’s Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs), a social worker plays a key role in bringing together health, social care, voluntary sector and community services to support people with complex needs in a coordinated way. INTs are multidisciplinary teams that include GPs, nurses, therapists, mental health professionals, social workers and council services working at neighbourhood level. The candidate will be a social worker with experience of working in a strengths-based way with adults.You would be joining Solihull at an exciting time as the Council changes the way in which it delivers its services, and we work in a more agile way. As a Social Worker in Solihull, you will benefit from manageable caseloads and an inclusive and supportive team culture with great scope for professional development. We also offer comprehensive training with opportunities to study to be an Approved Mental Health Practitioner, Best Interest Assessor or a Practice Educator which provides a positive base for supervision skills and helps you to deliver training.
