Job Title: Children’s Social Worker – Children with Disabilities Salary: HC8 £45,777 (including £5,000 market rate supplement per year) Welcome payment: £10,000 (£5k paid month one and £5k paid after probation) Contract: permanent Hours: 37 Location: Herefordshire Relocation package of up to £10,000 available “Delivering Good quality services through Outstanding Leadership” – Ofsted Introduction Our Children with Disabilities service is made up of one team. The team comprises of a Team Manager, two Managing Practitioners, one Senior Practitioner, Social Workers, and a team of Family Support Workers. Collaboration and reflection are at the heart of how we practice: senior managers are always available for guidance and support, especially when navigating complex cases. The Role Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with disabilities and their families? We are looking for a skilled and committed Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities Team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and young people who have a range of additional needs, along with their families, to ensure they receive the right support at the right time. You will complete holistic assessments, plan and coordinate services, and work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and independence. Your work will focus on enabling children to thrive and reach their full potential, with their voice and experience at the centre of everything you do. Passionate about supporting children and young people with disabilities and their families to achieve the best possible outcomesSkilled in assessment, planning, and coordinating multi-agency support, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are fully understood and metCommitted to working collaboratively, inclusively, and creatively with children, families, and professionals from health, education, and social careResilient, reflective, and confident in managing complex situations and making child-centred decisionsAble to work effectively within a supportive and specialist team environment, contributing to a culture of learning and continuous improvementRegistered with Social Work England and hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
