Using your specialist skills, you will plan and produce engaging and educational copy, video, and photography for a range of social and digital channe...
Create engaging multimedia content and social media campaigns to support Trust communications and organisational objectives. Produce clear, accessible content for internal and external audiences, ensuring messaging promotes patient and staff safety and complies with Trust policies.
Maintain consistent messaging across digital channels, including social media, websites and the intranet. Adapt and repurpose content for internal communications, stakeholder engagement and media activity, maximising reach and impact.
Research emerging digital trends, channels and technologies, including the appropriate use of AI tools, to enhance communications while maintaining quality, accuracy and accessibility.
Monitor and report on campaign performance, including paid activity, using insights to improve future content. Maintain an effective digital asset library and ensure all content complies with NHS identity guidelines, accessibility standards, advertising regulations and relevant legislation.
Coordinate social media activity with departmental accounts and support local and national campaigns. Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to deliver effective, accessible and value-for-money campaigns.
Respond to enquiries and engagement across digital platforms, support corporate events including the Annual General Meeting, and contribute to delivery of the Trust's communications strategy.

Education and qualifications
Essential
- Degree, a professional qualification, or equivalent relevant experience in communications and social media
Knowledge and experience
Essential
- Experience in a social media role in a complex organisation
- Experience in developing informative and educational content and campaigns across multiple channels and audiences
- Experience of working with social media tools such as Hootsuite
- Demonstrable ability to deliver results when dealing with highly sensitive issues in a complex environment
- Experience of evaluating effectiveness of outputs across all channels
- Experience of using AI tools appropriately and safely within a communications environment, including maintaining editorial standards, accuracy and accessibility
Desirable
- Experience of working in the NHS, wider health, public or charity sectors
- Experience of working with web content management systems
- Experience of commissioning high-quality social media materials, and managing external contractors
Skills, abilities, and attributes

- Ability to interpret a project brief and produce solutions, tailored to different audiences
- Good written, verbal, and presentational skills, including
- Ability to digest and turn complex information into plain English and easily accessible formats for different audiences
- Ability to meet tight deadlines, with good negotiation and persuasion skills, dealing effectively with challenging issues
- Understanding of integrated communications
- Ability to train others on social media channels
- Good awareness of design and digital industry developments, and the opportunities they present
- Ability to use Adobe creative software to produce eye-catching multimedia content
- Ability to create content that complies with UK accessibility regulations and equality law
- Ability to use online analysis tools such as Google Analytics to track outcomes
Desirable
- Understanding of NHS and wider health environment
- Knowledge of the NHS Accessible Information Standard
