Sister/Charge Nurse - Emergency Department

• Take charge of either the whole Emergency Department (with support from the Manager) or an allocated area of the department.
• Run your area with minimal supervision, maintaining patient flow and ensuring a safe, effective environment.
• Plan early for safe patient discharge and manage the overall safety of your area.
• Support and mentor junior staff, acting as a role model and resource.Serve as a link Nurse, assisting the Team Leader in managing team members.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, contributing to operational decision-making and team building.
• Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patients' care needs to ensure high-quality outcomes.

• Significant post registration experience as a Senior Band 5 in Emergency Care
• Experience in supervising a team in ED
• Experience in learning from incidents /complaints and supporting changes in practice
