The post holder will be responsible for a number of specialties and the delivery of key national and local targets such as RTT, cancer & diagnostic waiting time standards. The post holder will work with clinical leads to ensure safe and efficient services are delivered in line with the Trusts CARES values. Additional responsibilities are as follows:

  • To lead and facilitate service development, improvement to patient pathways in collaboration with the clinical leads and multidisciplinary team and stakeholders both in and out of hospital.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive capacity plan that ensures the delivery of both key access targets and savings attributed to the services within the portfolio.
  • To support the Senior Service Manager in developing and implementing strategic plans in relation to integrated care and service re-design for acute hospital services.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics.

We are making progress by working in partnership with local GPs, charities, community services, academic partners, our local authority, neighbouring hospitals, and the wider North West London Integrated care system, and ensuring that we listen and work in partnership with our local population. We are focused on ensuring that our hospitals provide high quality, safe, and compassionate care, while we drive forward with the building of the new Hillingdon Hospital.

Criteria

Essential

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
  • NHS Operational Management Experience
  • Practical experience of managing complex operational pathways
  • Practical experience of delivering compliance of Constitutional Standards
  • Possess the ability to work within and lead a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience of RTT and cancer performance management will be essential.
  • Experience in undertaking service improvement and change management

Desirable

  • Ability to work flexibly across a variety of specialities
  • Working in partnership with external agencies.
  • Experience of utilising CERNER electronic patient record
  • Experience of managing diagnostic pathways in compliance with DM01
