Senior Recovery Navigator

The Senior Recovery Navigator role offers either a traditional or peer-based approach, where individuals with lived experience of mental health can provide powerful, hope-inspiring support as part of their role.

Manage a team of Recovery Navigators, providing 1:1s, supervisions, and developing Personal Development Plans in line with Second Steps policies and procedures.

Screen referrals and carry out support conversations (if appropriate) to ascertain the best support route/service for the client; completing relevant paperwork on electronic systems and carrying out follow up calls.

Attend and contribute in a positive and proactive way to daily handovers and Multi-Disciplinary Discussions, as well as building collaborative relationships with external stakeholders.

Case manage and co-ordinate support, referring and liaising effectively with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in a clients support.

Supporting Recovery Navigators in the effective management of risk by providing guidance and oversight on escalated concerns, including safeguarding matters and incident management.
