Senior Physiotherapist

The successful candidate will act as a specialist clinician, participating as a member of the team while independently managing a specialist clinical caseload.

Manage and prioritise a professional caseload within the interdisciplinary service through efficient workload management, supervision and adjustment of service provision to meet changing priorities and ensure individual patients receive intervention timeously and appropriately.

They will provide high quality comprehensive Physiotherapy assessment and treatment to adults referred to the Hounslow Community Recovery Service.

Develop and deliver an individualised treatment programmes based on a problem solving and advanced clinical reasoning approach to the patients referred and monitor, evaluate and modify treatment to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention using valid outcome measures.

Work closely with the multi-agency team to meet the needs of the patients and enable them to receive a comprehensive service.

Undertake all aspects of Physiotherapy care as an autonomous practitioner

(with support from a senior Physiotherapist & clinical lead).

Assess and document the patient's ability to give informed consent and engage in decision making that could be contentious requiring a high degree of motivation, negotiation or persuasive reassurance skills.

Qualifications

Essential: - Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy; - HCPC membership; - Evidence of personal/professional development portfolio

Desirable: - CSP membership; - Membership of relevant specialist interest group

Experience

Desirable: - Involvement in audit, research and / or service development; - Experience of supervision of junior staff, students or rehabilitation assistants

Knowledge

Desirable: - Understanding of National Health plans and implementations; - Understanding of clinical governance and its implications
