We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Pharmacy Technician to provide leadership and co-ordination of the Supply service.
You will
- Deliver a high quality, safe and effective pharmacy service, actively participating in the delivery of services to all areas of the department.
- Co-ordinate and support the training and development of pharmacy assistants and pre-registration pharmacy technicians with respect to ward services.
- Provide leadership and management of staff, processes, procedures and workload/workforce planning and development of the Supply services.
- Ensure patients and staff receive excellent service and medications are supplied in a safe and efficient manner which meets set KPIs.
- Manage risks, errors and near misses in the various ward and pharmacy environments, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated.
- Co-ordinate and lead on investigations and outcomes to incidents, errors and complaints received regarding the Supply services.
- Continuously contribute to service improvements
- Ensure adherence to Wholesale Dealers license in regards to the supply of stock medicines to external unit
- Maintain Pharmacy QMS system
This role is eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) Skilled Worker route however sponsorship can only be provided where applicants meet the specific requirements set by UKVI, including the relevant skill and salary thresholds (£25000), and any role-specific criteria.

Qualifications
Essential
- Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician
- Registration as a UK Pharmacy Technician
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, BTEC Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent Accredited Checking Technician accreditation
- Experience of Wholesale Dealers License
Desirable
- Leadership Experience
- Accredited Medicines Reconciliation accreditation
- Experience of QMS system
