  • To collaborate with pharmacy, medical, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred medicine use.
  • Tomonitorand document medicine supply issues, working with the Pharmacy Procurement management team to implement systems that ensure continuity of supply and minimise patient impact.Manage andmaintainkey pharmacy data systems(OHP, SSRS,Tecsol), acting as the operational System Manager to ensure their functionality and alignment with service needs.
  • Toassistin the operational management of automated dispensing cabinets ad any other automated product delivered in Pharmacy
  • To oversee the accuracy and maintenance of data setslinked to procurement, distribution, and dispensing, ensuring compliance with financial, regulatory, and professional standards.
  • To develop andmaintainSOPsfor system use,identifyingthe need for new procedures and ensuring updates are clearly communicated to all users.
  • To implement service developmentsin line with Pharmacy strategies and under the direction of the Pharmacy Systems Manager

Qualifications

Essential

  • NVQ3 Pharmacy Technician/Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Accuracy Checking Technician Qualification
  • Degree in systems management/equivalent qualification/equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable

  • Management Qualification at Level 3

Skills

Essential

  • Ability to dispense accurately
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic management principles including team management and motivation
  • IT Literate in routine Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)

Experience

Essential

  • Significant relevant experience as Pharmacy technician
  • Experience of maintaining and developing data sets
  • Experience of training in ICT / data management systems
