-
Conduct age-appropriate audiological assessments for children aged 6 months to 18 years using a range of behavioural and objective testing techniques.

Lead Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) clinics, accurately interpreting results and making informed clinical decisions.

Undertake paediatric hearing aid fitting, verification and validation to ensure optimal hearing outcomes for children.

Assess hearing needs and recommend appropriate management plans in line with local and national guidance.

Communicate assessment outcomes, treatment plans and recommendations to parents, carers and families with empathy, clarity and sensitivity.

Provide support and advice to patients, families and other healthcare professionals regarding hearing loss and hearing management.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, child-centred care.

Maintain accurate and contemporaneous clinical records and documentation in line with professional and Trust standards.

Contribute to the delivery of high-quality paediatric audiology services and support service development initiatives.

Participate in continuing professional development activities and maintain clinical competencies.

Provide support to adult audiology services as required, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, repairs and ENT clinics.

Contribute to quality improvement, audit and service evaluation activities within the department.

Qualifications
Essential
- BSc (Hon) Audiology or Equivalent (BAAT Part1+2)
- Registered to practice as an Audiologist/ Clinical Scientist with either Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS)
- Evidence of CPD
Knowledge
Essential
- Extensive experience in the field of Paediatric Audiology
- Assessment, fitting & verification of hearing aids in paediatrics.
Skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work in a team and independantly
