As a Senior MRI Radiographer at Duchy Hospital, you will develop your skills in a service that includes cardiac and breast MRI. Experience with Siemens MRI equipment is highly desirable. The service operates 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with potential for longer hours and weekends as it expands. You will share a small on-call commitment one Wednesday night per month.
Minimum 2 years MRI experience is essential. You must be willing to participate in extended evening and weekend services and may support the general X-ray department as needed.
Demonstrated knowledge of Radiology and a focus on service improvement are required. You will take on additional responsibilities, participate in the out-of-hours rota, support junior staff, train students, and manage workload and patient queries.

Main duties
- Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging.
- Proficiently use all equipment.
- Supervise junior colleagues.
- Ensure MRI safety per local rules.
- Work within IRMER and HCPC guidelines.
- Participate in audits and QA programs.
- Support Clinical Lead Radiographers.
- Ensure equipment safety and report faults.
- IV cannulation competency required.
- Contribute to policy updates.
- Comply with Ramsay Health policies.
- Maintain records per requirements.
- Participate in on-call rota.
Location: Duchy Hospital, Cornwall's only private hospital, known for high-quality healthcare.
Requirements
- BSc in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent).
- 2+ years MRI experience (Cardiac, Gynae, etc.).
- Empathetic approach to patients and staff.
- Proactive work attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
