Senior Mental Health Nurse

When you join us, you can expect to be supported in building your competence in assessment, there will be a minimum of two-week local induction and a core competency framework to work with, to support you to develop your assessment skills, using evidence-based practice.

We host regular reflective practice sessions, training days and wellbeing workshops, as well as clinical and management supervision. CRHT are quality improvement focussed and have regular interfaces with a range of teams, both internally and externally, including a focus on outreach with primary care.

The shift pattern is long days, 3 per week, including night and weekend cover, with 4 days off, we can offer the opportunity to rotate if this is something of particular interest. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Qualifications

Desirable: - Higher degree or postgraduate in clinical area / therapeutic practice; - Recognised Leadership/Management training

Experience

Desirable: - Experience of working in the specific area

Skills

Essential: - Conflict resolution and Breakaway training (or requirement to undertake within first 12 weeks); - Care planning and Risk Assessment knowledge and skills

Desirable: - Prevention and Management of Suicide training

Knowledge

Desirable: - Knowledge of health promotion

Other

Essential: - Ability and willingness to travel independently to meet the needs and requirements of the service
