We are Currently looking for Senior Learning Care Support Assistants to join our client's team and help deliver high-quality support to learners. Skills and Qualifications Necessary
Trained in Manual Handling, First Aid, Safe Administration of Medication, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis, Dysphasia and Diabetes including the safe administration of InsulinExperience Supporting a range of ELD/LLD/PMLD learners.Experience of assessing children and young people to identify their individual needsStrong safeguarding Knowledge and SEND Code of Practice Duties of the role
To provide one-to-one support, small group support and whole group support both direct and indirect, for students with a wide range of additional support needs, primarily within the learning environment.Interview, assess, recommend, monitor and timetable appropriate support for students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.Work with the Specialist Medical Coordinator in the design, development and implementation of Individual Care Plans, risk Assessments and Individual Support Plans for students with profound and complex needs.Commitment to Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults, ensuring that this commitment is demonstrated in all aspects of the role as appropriate.Be responsible for the line management of a team of LSA’s including appraisal, observation and staff development.
