As a Senior Data Engineer, you will
- Design, develop, test and maintain data warehouse and reporting solutions.
- Build and support complex data integrations, interfaces and information flows.
- Develop solutions using Microsoft SQL Server technologies, including T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS and related development tools.
- Support strategic digital transformation projects across the Trust.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Ensure data quality, performance, security and resilience across critical systems.
- Lead on problem-solving, root-cause analysis and service improvements.
- Supervise and support junior members of the Data Engineering team.
- Work collaboratively with clinical, operational and corporate teams to deliver innovative information solutions.

Essential - Postgraduate qualification in a computing, mathematical or statistical discipline, or equivalent specialist experience.
- Advanced expertise in T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS.
- Extensive experience of relational databases, data analysis and information management.
- Experience of data migrations, system integrations and data flow development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience developing and testing applications, reporting solutions and information systems.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
Desirable - Experience working within the NHS or healthcare sector.
- Knowledge of NHS information standards, information flows and the Federated Data Platform.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or cloud-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of ASP.NET, XML, JavaScript or related technologies.
