The post covers duties in acute gynaecology; assessing patients in the Emergency Department and on the Jasmine Assessment Unit, ward rounds and ongoing care of patients on the Gynaecology and Maternity wards. Duties include managing high risk inductions and births on delivery suite, working effectively as part of the MDT, assessing patients in Maternity Triage, running elective cesarean section lists, assisting in theatres, providing support to the post natal wards, attending both antenatal and gynaecology clinics., and participating in regular departmental meetings / teaching and training.

Qualifications

Essential

  • MB. ChB. or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
  • PROMPT or equivalent certificate
  • MRCOG or equivalent

Desirable

  • Certificate in gynaecology Scanning
  • BSCCP accreditation and maintained

Clinical Experience

Essential

  • 3 years in UK in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with Registrar experience or equivalent

Desirable

  • 2 years at Registrar equivalent in a large DGH
  • Outpatient hysteroscopy
  • Minimal access surgery

Personal Skills

Essential

  • Good writtenandverbal communication skills
  • Capableofworkingwellin multidisciplinary team
  • Clinical skills commensurate with experience
