We are looking for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurology who will be based at Royal Preston Hospital. This post is a fixed-term post, initially for 12...
The duties of this post may be summarised as:
- To work with the neurology educationleadto deliver high quality neurology education to medical students from University of Manchester, based at Royal Preston Hospital.
- Undertake up to three outpatient clinics a week at Royal Preston Hospital and peripheral hospitals, under consultant supervision.
- Management of inpatients in the regional neurology ward based at Royal Preston Hospital.
Modern Education Centres are based at both Royal Preston and Chorley and South Ribble Hospital sites and offer excellent library and study facilities, including PC/Internet support for staff and students.
As a teaching hospital, we encourage all our staff toparticipatein teaching and training at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.We are committed to developing our teaching and academic activities and canfacilitatemeeting any training needs for these roles.
We support the requirements for Continuing Medical Education aslaiddown by the Royal Colleges and are committed to providing time and financial support for these activities.
Qualifications
Essential
- Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP or postgraduate degree in neurology (DM or FCPS neurology)
Experience
Essential
- Experience of neurology at CMT level or equivalent.
- Commitment to working as part of a clinical team.
- Teaching skills for both medical and paramedical disciplines
