  • The Coding Team is a skilled team with an excellent reputation that ensures complete and accurate coding of Trust activity. We have an in-house Coded Data and Standards Assurance Audit and Training Team to support in your development.
  • While the candidate will have daily duties and responsibilities, the spectrum of work may be broad across the Department.
  • To provide an efficient and high-quality clinical coding service by ensuring accuracy within the interpretation of descriptions of patient diagnoses and procedural events using the (ICD-10) International Classification of Diseases and the (OPCS) Classification of Interventions and Procedure (OPCS-4) to carry out the coding function

Qualifications

Essential

  • National Clinical Coding Qualifications (NCCQ) (UK)
  • Clinical Coding Refresher Course with last 3 years

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of a variety of specialties in an acute NHS healthcare setting

Desirable

  • Experience of mentoring junior clinical coding staff
