To support a team of CBT HI Practitioners and Trainees, providing
clinical guidance, case management, and line management. To provide wellbeing
support in addition to ensuring a high quality of client care and the
achievement of service KPIs.
To contribute to the efficiency and quality of LWC services,
supporting with the allocations process, audits, and monitoring.
To work alongside the Clinical Director, Clinical Lead, Team
Leaders, and other members of the leadership team to ensure continuous service
improvement and effective clinical governance.
Line
manage a team of staff, including CBT HI Practitioners and Trainees, providing
wellbeing support, feedback on performance, and organisational updates.
Conduct
relevant meetings with staff in accordance with the employee cycle including
one-to-one meetings, probation reviews, and annual reviews.
Attend
clinical governance meetings and feedback regarding team performance or any
issues raised by staff.
Provide
effective communication across the service, within teams, to senior managers,
and individual practitioners.
Complete
caseload audits and feedback to practitioners around good practice or areas for
improvement.
Provide
clinical supervision to practitioners delivering within the service.
Ensure
service KPIs are met by regularly reviewing data and providing support to
practitioners.
Have
responsibility for ensuring KPIs are met within relevant teams.
Review
and analyse data, identifying areas for service improvement and making
recommendations to senior management.
Complete
allocations ensuring clients are put forward for the best course of treatment
according to their needs.
Input
all necessary information into agreed databases.
Provide
operational cover and support during absence such as annual leave or sickness.
Assess
and support people with a common mental health problem in the self-management
of their recovery
Undertake
patient-centred interviews to identify areas where the person wishes to see
change and or recovery and make an accurate assessment of risk to self and
others.
Maintain
a small caseload of clients.
Offer
shadowing opportunities and peer support to Trainee CBT HI Practitioners.
Support
with clinical queries across LWC, including from referrals teams and qualified
practitioners.
Make
decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the services referral
protocols, and refer unsuitable clients on to the relevant service or back to
the referral agent as necessary or step-up the persons treatment to high
intensity.
Work
closely with other members of the team ensuring appropriate step-up and
step-down arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach.
Input
client information into agreed databases, ensuring notes are succinct, clear,
and relevant.
Attend
clinical/managerial supervision on a regular basis as agreed with Line Manager.
Providing
feedback regarding policies, processes, and clinical structures to ensure
continuous service development.
Follow
all risk and safeguarding policies and procedures.
Ensure
client confidentiality is protected at all times and GDPR is adhered to.
Participate
in individual performance reviews and follow up on agreed objectives.
Maintain
records around professional development and staff support.
Contribute
to the development of best practice within the service.
Work
within data protection legislation and LWC data policies.
Maintain
up to date knowledge of legislation, national, and local policies and
procedures in relation to mental health and primary care services.
Adapt
and respond to change within the organisation as it grows and develops to
ensure client care and performance targets are achieved.
Attend
relevant meetings and supervision sessions, following up on any agreed actions.
Undertake
training as required by the organisation.
To
work within organisations policies and procedures.
Undertake
such other duties commensurate with the role.
To
understand and work with the ethos, aims and objectives of LWC.
The Living Well Consortium is a network of over 40
third sector organisations working to improve the mental health and wider
wellbeing of the local people. We offer high quality, responsive, specialist
services and initiatives including one-to-one counselling services, culturally
sensitive support, guided self-help, relaxation techniques, telephone
counselling, and other accredited talking therapies.
We have been successful in securing contracts with NHS Birmingham and
Solihull Integrated Care Board to develop and deliver new approaches to
psychological support to people in the community in Birmingham and Solihull,
under the NHS Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT) programme.
We aim to position the Consortium to be able to
take a leading role in the design and delivery of mental health and wellbeing
services across the region and wider areas of the West Midlands, and to enable
voluntary sector organisations to work together to respond to the current
funding challenges in the health and charitable sectors.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of routine outcome monitoring
- Experience carrying out risk assessments within the scope of practice
- A thorough understanding of mental health problems and their presentations
- An excellent knowledge of safeguarding and other relevant legislation
- Ability to meet agreed/specified service targets
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- Clear written communicator with the ability to write clear reports, letters to referrers, and notes
- Ability to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
- Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the service
- Excellent IT proficiency including full competence using Microsoft Office Suite, e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Attention to detail
- High level of integrity and understanding of confidentiality and always maintains discretion
- Proactive self-starter with a positive and energetic approach to work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident communicator at all levels
- Effective time management and workload management

Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified CBT HI Practitioner with experience of delivery
- Qualified to deliver supervision and case management
