As a Senior Care Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll be responsible for looking after the different needs of the residents to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. The role involves supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You will support the clinical team in areas like medication, assessments, care plans, and care reviews. Respecting the dignity and preferences of residents is paramount, and you'll contribute to creating a warm, welcoming, and vibrant environment. The position requires an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, along with specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. Barchester is looking for warm-hearted, compassionate individuals committed to providing personalized care and support to each resident. Career development opportunities are available through ongoing training, allowing for progression into roles such as Care Practitioner, Regional Carer, or nurse.

ABOUT YOU You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join us as a Senior Care Assistant. We'll also need to see that you have specific knowledge of clinical care for the elderly. We're looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You'll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there's no limit to how far you can go with us. Many of our Senior Carer Assistants progress into Care Practitioner, Regional Carer or nursing roles.
